Flounder’s TV, uh Homework?

By calidave • November 25th, 2007

I have been in the absence of TV for the past couple weeks. My main focus has been my MBA program at the University of Phoenix. My classes are on Monday nights 6-10 PM. Each class is 6 weeks long and the tuition is almost $1500 each class. My first class, which is about to end this Monday is called MBA500, problem based learning. We have been learning about ethics, managing stress and change, communications issues, organizational behavior and more. The past two weeks I have been working on a 4000+ paper on the scenario we have been learning about for the past three weeks. With problem based learning, there are nine steps to solving a problem in an organization. I finished my paper on Saturday and was able to do some type of article for the Harb. My paper is over 5000 words and I believe is the best writing I have done so far. In each class, there is quite a bit group work that is conducted every week. I am expected to Graduate June 2009. This MBA program will make me a better candidate for a managerial position in the future. I use my knowledge from this course already in my job and personal life. The MBA program was something I never thought about until last spring. Nothing in this world worth getting is easy. Once this is over in 2009, there will be one hell of a party.
