The Harbinger

Since this is the first interview with the SomaCalf carrier, tell the Harbinger about the day you discovered you were pregnant.
It was a cool day. I thought I might be and I told Geoff when I picked him up from work. He said “no way, you’d be glowing…oh crap, you ARE glowing”. I got home and did the pee test and boom! We were both so happy that “waiting to tell” went right out the window. Geoff posted on his blog (http://jaffesalad.com) and we started calling people and couldn’t stop! muchedumbre chat were the first to know

So, Ifer, how are you feeling?

Very good actually. I am almost at 12 weeks now but even in the first 12 I didn’t get sick once. I’ve been extremely tired all the time and my boobs are sore and i’ve had some nausea but compared to some women, great!
Have your boobs grown?
some and they’re more solid. I’m hoping for more!

What is currently your favorite thing to eat?

hmm. i haven’t had any cravings really and no sickness so pretty much everything!
Drink?
apple juice for some reason. I drink some every morning.

What part is the coolest?

just knowing there is something growing inside of me

What part sucks the most?

just feeling tired a lot. I feel worthless during those times.

Are you feeling any weird feelings?

not really. more emotional for sure!

Do you talk/sing to the baby?

talk to, yes. just say hello and stuff I’m sure I’ll sing further down the road when it can hear.

What are your number one name choices RIGHT THIS MINUTE?

we have a few we’re tossing around…we’ve just started with some lists. My favorites, that I thought were “unique” were Emma and Ella for a girl but those are in the top 20 and we’re trying to avoid top names. It sucked being one in 8 Jennifers in a class of 25.

What are your number one “joke” name choices RIGHT THIS MINUTE?

Warren…if you know our last name, you’ll know why. And believe me we’ve heard this one so you don’t have to suggest it!

How many people have rubbed your belly?

only 2 (including me) but I have had people say “I know many women don’t like their bellies rubbed but I have to rub it!” Why is that? maybe good luck?

Do you feel like Buddha?

not yet. the belly is just a little bigger and firmer right now.

What are you most excited about?

expanding the family and sharing the love that Geoff and I have to our new baby

Least excited?
hmmmm…i’ve been thinking about this and there really isn’t anything I can think of right now. I’m very happy!

One of our readers wants to know, how you are liking the cool weather?

I love it! Although i’ve always been a hot person but so far I’ve been colder than usual with this pregnancy, but at the core I still love the cold weather. Nothing better than snuggling under the covers!
