Casey’s on Central

Casey’s

This bar is a small local hole that I had somehow missed out on until about a year ago. I have been there about 20 times now and will consider myself a regular. Saturdays draw me as Jeff Howell plays there. Casey’s has moderate drink prices but they make a good strong drink and they have my current favorite-Blue Moon Ale. Their drinks come in tall glasses and are definitely alcoholic!

The bathrooms are large but only one per gender unless you decide to jump lines, but there’s usually not too long of a wait-girls, a little etiquette lesson here, when there is only one stall, get in and out! no time for primping!

There’s plenty of high top tables and bar stools and there’s outside seating if you happen to catch one of the 6 cool days in Central Florida. The staff here is awesome. The bar is well staffed with incredibly friendly folks and they have someone walking around to get orders even though the bar is never more than 5 feet from where you are, which is nice. As an additional bonuses they have free popcorn and a Galaga arcade machine. A new favorite indeed.

Oh, and if you want to hear some Jeff Howell, check out the 6/16/07 podcast of Say… Anything where Jeff Howell is the “spotlight on a band” artist.
