This year, I didn't bother watching Survivor, I just read in the paper who the winner was after the season finale.  I saved many hours of what would otherwise be wasted time.

That, sir, is the sixth-best idea I have ever heard!

The fifth-best idea I have ever heard is: Don't get interested in "Survivor".

You could (please) apply that same logic to politics and just wait till November to see who will be fucking you next year.

Right, but I'm still going to brew another batch of beer, even if I could get it cheaper and quicker at Publix.

As you should as hobbies don't need justified. What do you do with the finished beer? bottle it? drink it all at once ? what?

Home brew stuff is usually 5 gallons at a time - a wee bit much for drinking all at once.  Normally people bottle it or put it in kegs (the old school 2.5 gallon coke syrup cans are popular).

Yeah, didn't care for it when I tried it back at Sea World. Seems to be gaining popularity though, I'll give it that.

Tried Dos Equis a few weeks ago, as it was the only beer the bar had. Quickly grew to like it, along with margaritas and whatever else they wanted to brew up for me.

Sounds like a night at "Carlos & Charlie's".

I am beginning to detect a pattern here...

For the minor point, all my recipes require bottling to continue the fermination, so I don't know how anyone else brews beer, but for the major point, I sometimes forget my audience.  There are a lot of people here who are full on akies who wouldn't find anything unusual with drinking 5 gallons in a night, but until I open my own frat house, that amount lasts about 2 months for me.

I wound up doing the final addition of sugar for carbonation at bottling but that was about it.

I had a superb beer this weekend.
Maudite

The first you do with this beer is drink it out of a glass. You shame the makers by drinking it out of the bottle. The second thing is it is 8% alcohol so drink a 6 pack and you are dry humping your wife while she sleeps.
The aroma of the beer is complex and that is why you need the glass, something with a wide top. I.E goblet or pimp cup.
It is bottle fermented which makes it a little bubbly.
Great flavor if you like Belgian style beers.
I will put this beer in my rotation.
Price unknown since I tried it a buddies house but from his ramblings like 2 to  3 bucks a bottle.
