I missed the Kirk Cameron comment.

That guy along with his freak friend Ray Comfort think that the banana was designed by god to fit the hand with a tab conveniently placed at the top for easy access and curved toward the mouth for consumption.

The only thing they got right was that the bananas you buy today in the store ARE designed. They were genetically altered (domesticated) by humans from a wild species found in Southeastern Asia.

GQ exposes Rumsfeld's Crusade

Back in 2003, I was often ridiculed for suggesting that GW's war plans were spawned by his own visions of duty as a "born-again" missionary for his religion - his egotistical role as leader in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy - and the role such actions would play in his own selfish "salvation".

It turns out my claims apparently were not as unfounded as many of my critics suggested. Here's even more proof that, for the Bush Administration, this was a religious war with concerns centered in their own personal salvation and garnishing favor of their god - rather than the preservation of liberty and peace for the American people.

Scary stuff really. I keep reminding everyone of the bloody history religion has played in the wars of man - and how promises of "72 virgins in heaven" for eliminating the "infidels" is no more ludicrous or indefensible for one religion as the fulfillment of religious promises that Rumsfeld, GW, and Co. envisioned for their actions.

Do a search for "Dustin Chalker", or "Jeremy Hall".

Never mind Crowd....

I will do it for you.

Defense Secretary Sued Over Mandatory Christian Prayer Ceremonies

This is a lawsuit because he was forced to attend.  You are not forced to attend religious services in the military.  If it does happen... well I guess you get a lawsuit.  So I don't see how this proves your point.

And there are Muslim Imans serving as Chaplains in the Army.

They are illegally proselytizing to a captive audience, and respecting one religion over all others.

It would be like forcing you to attend a satanic ritual and saying, "All you have to do is watch. You don't have to kill anyone."

I know.

But again, that's why there is a lawsuit.  Didn't you just say it was illegal?  And aren't they being sued?  I'm not sure what else is required.  Everyone already agrees it's wrong, but you are still acting as if this was Army policy to force people to go to church.

Hmm... then there has got to be something wrong with my position!
