why don't you just narrow it down to ..... countries with 2 words in their name...1 letter of 1st word "U"... last letter of second word "S" I mean shit..... you're already a long way off from "Only Japan and the US still use the DP"..... so go for it.. Even when I admit I am wrong I can't win.

I used to be a staunch supporter of the death penalty but after coming to my senses I find it barbaric. I don't claim to have the answer but I do know that "and eye for an eye" is not it. It doesn't deter anyone.

we need to get away from the eye for an eye thing..... it's revenge plain and simple... and Mark Dean Schwab deserved all the revenge he got.. barbaric? yeah... but so was what he did. he forfeited his right to live when he hunted, raped and murdered that little boy... deterrent? HA! nope...... but neither is life in prison..

thats because Life in prison is basically providing them all the stuff they need. 3 hots and a cot. they dont have to do much work wise. it's basically an easy life for them (not 100% easy). need to make prison brutal and harsh so people never want to stay.

Done lots of time, have you? You know about the Country Clubs called Raiford or Starke or any other penitentiary? 3 hots and a cot and it's all easy livin'...yeah, right. Talk to someone who has spent time in one of them and they never want to go back. Ever.

do you know why most people go back to jail? Because of what I said. it's easy for them inside there. they dont have to work a 40hr work week to get a roof over their head, food in their stomach and clean clothes on their back.

My disagreement with the death penalty has nothing to do with moral obligations, but with scientific ones. You have a perfectly good specimen who may be able to shed light on WHY "people" like this do the things they do, yet you destroy the specimen?
I feel these degenerates need to be studied, poked, prodded, researched, and if needed, cut open to find out WHY they do the things they do...not to stop THEM from ever doing it again (because frankly, life in prison with no parole would accomplish the same), but so that no one LIKE them would ever do anything similar. Study the mental illness and find a cure. Cut them up; I don't care. Once convicted, you become state property and we study you as we see fit. Find a solution to the problem.
Now this I could get behind. Use him and others like him as lab rats until they are all used up, then fry em. The only problem with it that I can see is the bleeding heart whiney types who would start crying about it being cruel and unusual.

If you think that being out of your 8x10 (if even that) cell 1 hour a day and that hour is the most dangerous hour in your life every day is a cakewalk, good for you. I say no thanks. And the ones that DO get out for the day ARE working 40+ hours a week....of HARD manual labor.

Mark Dean Schwab deserved all the revenge he got... It kills me how people always have to "3-name" killers. I don't understand it. Signed, John Wilkes Booth

maybe we should be watching all the people who go by 3-names, since they seem to be the ones we see in the news for this shit.

They do that for the public. Imagine if your name just happened to be Mark Schwab. I'd prefer they used all 3 of his names to seperate me from him.
