I was looking at a photog site last night and got the idea to take a picture of this knife. It is very hard to figure the best way to showcase this thing. I think I did OK, but I am sure there a better shot that is eluding me…

I am still kind of in a creative slump, but I am planning a trip northward next week to see if I can find some fall. I am hoping I can get a couple good pictures…

I was not so happy with last night’s pic, but today a friend suggested a more aggressive crop. I played with the crop and liked it a lot better, but it still wasn’t quite there. When I started re-shooting I realized part of the problem was the blue was too distracting. So all I need to do was a bit of shifting, a different background, more dramatic lighting and a different crop…
