At this car show yesterday that also had a few bikes…no motor bikes, not the pedal kind. Actually I guess these particular bikes were choppers…custom choppers. Choppers with lots of shiny metal. Shiny metal has a habit of capturing stuff…stuff that you didn’t intend to capture. Stuff like a big old reflection of the camera lens and the photographer behind it.
So can you see me in this picture?
I got up early this morning to check out an exotic car show. The stuff I read said that registration was between 8 and 10 and the show started at 10. So I got there around 9:30 thinking I could beat the crowd and get some decent shots without people walking in the frame. Well I did manage to get some decent shots, but there were a lot more people there than I expected, and by 10:30 the place was pretty packed.
So what does a car worth 1.5 million dollars look like? It looks like the Bugatti Veyron. Oh yeah and it can go 250 some miles per hour.

I have a new assignment. The assignment is to take a picture of someone’s hand. Well the palm of someone’s hand. However there is a catch…”I want to see your picture telling the story of the palm’s owner in some way.” Oh yeah and he wants it to be interesting.
So I figured I would use my own hand, but how could I tell my story. Since I spend pretty much all day on the computer, I figure my story should somehow connect to the computer. Since holding a computer would pretty much block my entire palm I had to figure someway to represent the computer in the palm of my hand. This is what I came up with…
So someone says to you, they says…hey yous go make picture with the shadows. And of course you say “huh?” Once you figure out that they are saying they want you to take a picture of a shadow, and you say “oh ok…no problem.”
Then you go out to take said picture and you realize it isn’t so easy. Seriously finding something interesting in the right light to make for a good photo is not a walk in the park. Maybe if I had taken a walk in the park I could have found something, but it would had to be at just the right time to get good shadows and stuff. So tonight I sat down, well not literal, and manufactured an interesting shadow.
Legos…I know you are going to ask.
So…Geoff and Jenn over at SomaCow Media are expecting. I was invited to celebrate the impending birth at some sort of a twisted shower type event. The chicks all said “this isn’t at all like a real baby shower” and the guys all said “yeah, this is why we don’t go to baby showers?” Anyway with the invitation to a “baby shower” comes the obligation to provide a gift for the impending child or is it the parents…still not real clear on that bit. Anyway, I am cheap, and not really up for shopping for baby crap. So I did what I do…
I went out and took a picture of a baby cow and stuck it in a frame and gave it to the baby or the parents or something…
Anyway congratulations guys, kids are fun…especially once you teach them how to bring you stuff…but a word of warning it is only good for about 8 years, so make the most out of while you can.
So I feeling a lot of pressure to post a picture…see I haven’t taken a picture in a couple days, but there is this nagging…it is like it is coming at me from two directions and shit. Anyway to quiet the din I figured I better get a shot up tonight. I guess I could have dug up an older pic that was good enough, but I figured a fresh pic would go a bit further to quiet the nagging.
Unfortunately…the pic was kind of meh so I messed with it a bit and made it a little more arty.
Georgia…
I recently drove into Georgia and made a stop at the “welcome” center. Now to be fair I wasn’t stopping to be welcomed, I was stopping to take a leak, but I have to tell you I didn’t find thing so welcoming with a big ass fucking torpedo pointed right at my car. I don’t know whose idea it was to welcome people to the great state of Georgia with weapons, but I was more than happy to get the hell out of Georgia…
AS most of you know I don’t take pictures of people…mostly cause I suck at it. Here is a perfect example of why I don’t take pictures of people. They wanted a group shot to commemorate some special cherry eating thing…anyway I managed to cut off all of their faces…
I didn’t have a new picture to post so I went looking through some older ones and found one that goes along with the last couple in that it is more food…
Oh yeah…this isn’t in my yard unfortunately cause I would love to have some homegrown tomaters.
My backyard is full up with growing shit. This is apparently some kind of weed, cause we didn’t plant.
Maybe it will grow up to be something interesting…
