I have no fucking clue what kind of flower this is. What sucks is that I might have been able to figure it out if I had put some effort into it. See I learned that the folks at Epcot try to label every type of plant in the park, however they may on label it in one place. That one place could have been anywhere in the park…so I guess you can call me a slacker for not tracking down the placard…
This time of year is tough for me. I can walk outside and the smell is wonderful, but that smell represents potential trouble for me. I have some sinus allergies usually spend more than a few days of spring suffering.
When you take a picture a certain way with certain settings you get part of the picture in focus and part of it out of focus (OOF). When you get an OOF area that is “smooth” they say this is good bokeh. In order to get good bokeh, you have to have a lens that is capable of producing it. Typically this is a “fast lens”…a lens with a large aperture. The lens I bought recently is one of these “magical” lens that can produce good bokeh…
It is hard to describe what good bokeh is, but it pretty much looks like this…
This weekend my wife tells me “we are going to Sunday brunch…at the vegan restaurant.” Being the good husband that I am I did not object. OK, I have had the food at this place before and knew that they make good stuff so I wasn’t all that concerned. Also these places tend to have at least one cute bra-less hippie chicks running around “accidentally” flashing people when they lean over. Anyway I ordered pancakes cause I figured it would be pretty sad if they didn’t have decent pancakes, cause my wife makes good vegan pancakes all the time. They were actually really good, but I got full about halfway through them. The wife and kid eat slow…I got bored…I started taking pictures. Now before you get too bent about me snapping pics in a restaurant, I would like to point out that we were sitting outside on the patio and at the back of the patio even. After I took pictures of some plants and other shit on the patio I sat back down and took a picture of my half eaten pancakes…

I shot this on a recent trip to the northeast…wait shit, I already used that line last time I post a pic from this are of Universal…meh. Oh well, I think this pic does a pretty good job of not looking like Florida.
You know those fountains that shoot up out of the ground for you to walk through when you are hot? I always figured that it would make a neat picture if I could catch the water in mid “flight”, but every time I was around one of the fountains they were littered with children splashing around. Well I finally came across one that was uncluttered…
