This was a lot harder to shoot than I thought it would be. When I looked at this little figure I didn’t really notice that it was so shinny, but as soon as I dusted it off and put it under the lights I started to see all the highlights. Then I realized that the composition was pretty blah so I figure maybe I could fix two problems in one move by changing things up. I think the composition is more interesting, but I still had a few highlights. I managed to work out most of the highlight issues, but it cost me some detail in the face. I am a little iffy on the way the background came out too, but I don’t feel like fooling with it anymore tonight. Maybe tomorrow…
So I found that interesting barn I have been looking for. It was hiding right under my nose this whole time. It is pretending to be a concert hall…
This is another shot from my HOB shoot…wow that sounds all official and shit. Anyway I have been wanting to get an interesting shot for a while now. When I was walking around HOB I looked up and loved this view. I hope you like it.
So I tried to fly this kite, but wouldn’t go anywhere…
Yeah, I am not feeling all that much like writing stuff…sorry.
Been a while since I posted a flower pic. I took some straight on shots of the flower, but then I tried shooting one from the side and it was a lot more interesting.
I was over at downtown disney this morning and took a few pictures. This shot is was taken on the side of the HOB Store.
What is the best thing about Thanksgiving? It is really the only reason to even have Thanksgiving in the first place.
No not turkey you silly ass. Turkey sucks when you compare it to this most wonderful holiday food.
Of course I am talking about punkin pie. In fact the pie itself isn’t even the best thing about the pie. The best thing is the whipped cream. And in a perfect world the whipped cream is really Cool Whip….mmmm Cool Whip.
k, not mutch 2 say…i stufted wit turkey
Tomorrow we cook turkey. I think that we all know that turkey is pretty easy to fuck up. A few years ago I learned about the magic of brines from the Alton Brown guy. It has to do with the osmosises…something about the water inside the turkey trying to balance with the water that is surrounding it. What that means is that the meats soak up the water trying to make everything the same or something…anyway when it sucks the water in it also sucks in the stuffs that are in the water. So if you flavor your salty water some of them flavors will get sucked into the turkey.
Or something like that…if you want to know how it really works there is this really cool website you should check out…it’s called google. You go there type stuff in and it magiclly gives you answers.
Anyway…in honor of my brine here is some salt. This is sea salt that they mined from the Himalayan Mountains or something…dude don’t ask me, that is just what they told.
