I am not sure, but I think this picture is a little blurry…
OK…yes the blurriness is intentional. I was taking a picture of something and using this piece of coiled up wire to hold it up. I noticed how interesting the wire looked through the camera, so I started taking some shots of the wire by itself. Whenever I made an adjustment to the wire or bumped the table, I would have to wait for the wire to stop bouncing so I could take the pic. I decided to see what would happen if I went with it…I changed the lighting around so I could get a longer exposure, plucked the wire with my finger and snapped the shot. It took a little tweaking, but I think it is a pretty neat pic.

I was looking through the pics and found another decent picture of the cows.
Is that shit on their backs? Stupid fucking cows have been rolling around in their own shit. I guess it could be mud.
Have you ever seen a cow in the field with pink, green or orange…guess it could be any color really but it is usually a bright color…anyway it means she is ready to get some nookie. Well technically it means she got some nookie, but the bull that mounted up on her is fixed. Fixed and has paint on his belly. So the farmer knows that the cows with paint on their back are ready to breed…at least that is what someone told me when I was a kid.
Anyway I don’t think that is paint…

I am sure that everyone out there is familiar with the craft store, you know like Micheal’s, Joanne Etc., etc. What do they have in common? Exactly they are a bit fem…OK a lot fem. Don’t get me wrong, am comfortable enough with my manliness to admit that I know my way around the craft store just fine, but they are totally marketed to the chick set.
Lucky for men in the Orlando area there is craft store designed just for us. A very manly man craft store. I am sure that the manly men out there have already figured out what place I am talking about…the place that has everything you need to build your own spaceship…

You don’t see a lot of old barns in Florida, but there are bunches in VA. Not so many of the old school style classic barns, but there are plenty of old gray falling down barns. So I really wanted to get a good picture of one while I was there. Unfortunately with only three days “on the ground” it was tough to get out and find a good one. Well a good one that was close enough to the road that I could get a shot without getting shot, if you know hat I mean.
There is this one that is right next to road, but it isn’t all that interesting architecturally. It is old though, like really fucking old. The placard thing out front says that the farm was established in 1858, so I am assuming that the barn could be that old. It sure as hell looks like it could be 150 years old.

You know if you take a picture of a weed from the right angle it can actually look pretty cool. The only problem is that it seems a bit fuzzy or something to me. I need to figure why it wasn’t as sharp as it should have been…maybe I need a new lens..yes that is it! I need to get a new lens.
So who wants to buy some prints?

So if you hadn’t figured yet, I was away for the weekend. We took a trip up to my folks place in Southwest VA. We went up to go to my nephew’s birthday party, he just turned two. Two is a great age. He is just becoming acutely aware of the world around him, and is forming opinions about what is neat.
Guess what he thinks is neat. Trucks, tractors, trains…pretty much anything with wheels. I have to admit it makes me smile. So on the road to my parents house there is a tractor…

and a “dump truck”…

So I took these pics thinking that I would print them and give them to him for Christmas to go with his “Choo Choo” picture that I gave him for his birthday.

So I am sitting at my parents editing the pics and I show my mom the tractor pic and she said…”He would like it better in color.” I guess two year olds don’t so much appreciate “art”…or maybe he just wouldn’t want people to look at him funny when he calls it “orange tractor”.

Can you guess what part of Florida this is?
