it’s something…

So many oats so little something…every time I am at the beach taking pics I come back with pictures of the see oats. Not sure what it is but they do seem to make for some nice pics.

There is just something about a boat floating on the water that I find peaceful…

When I first opened this pic I was kind of meh. I adjusted things a bit and still meh. Then I realized that the horizon was right down the middle of the pic. As a result, there was just way too much water…boring water. So I started fucking around with the crop tool and normal cropping would have taken out the only interesting parts. So I went pano on it and as a result I got something that I like. Hey I am not saying it is brilliant, but it is a decent pic.

Oh and for you geographically challenged “readers”, that land out there is not Mexico…it is Edgemont Key.

I think I have said this before, but sometimes I take pictures that I am not sure about. This is one of those pictures. I have seen this type of shot before, and found it interesting, but I can’t decide how I feel about my own. There is nothing really wrong with the pic and I don’t hate it…I guess I just don’t know if it is compelling.

For some reason I found myself in St. Petersburg today. When I got up this morning I had planned to spend the day around the house washing my truck and stuff, but I managed to let my wife talk me into driving over to St. Pete. There is a “winery” over there where they make wine out of citrus and other fruits. They have a mango wine that tastes just like…you are never going to believe this…it tastes…just like a fucking mango. My favorite was a blackberry wine. It tastes like wine, but without the thing in wine that I don’t like…the tanmens or something. Anyway if you want to try some interesting wines check this place out… http://www.floridawine.com/

I realized that this place was real close to one of the best beaches in the country…Ft De Soto. There are some pictures in my gallery from when I was over there last summer, and here is one from today.

I got up early this morning. Getting up early on a Saturday sucks, unless you have a good reason. Unfortunately my reason for getting up wasn’t all the good.

Last night when I got home from work, my family was out doing some shopping or something. So I worked on some stuff in the garage and played the Playstation for a bit, then sat down to get online…nothing. I can get on the network so that isn’t it. So I reluctantly get up and …OK I can’t lie, the family had just walked in the door so I asked my wife to check the modem since she was already up and stuff. “It’s all black…the lights aren’t on.”

So I managed to make it through the night with no net, but decided to get up and go to brighthouse first thing this morning and get a new modem. Since I was up I decided to drive around a bit to see if I could find some pictures. I think I managed to grab a few decent ones.

A regular reader has been requesting for pictures of food, but by the time I get done cooking the food I am too hungry to stop and take pictures of it. So today when I was going to throw out these stale peanuts I decided I should take some pictures first.

Sorry…I have been a bit busy with stuff around here, but I did manage to grab a quick pic for you. Nothing fancy or terrible artistic, but doooood…it’s a Dell!

This is one of those pics that I took just for the hell of it. I thought the lights looked cool and was sitting there waiting for my food so I took out the camera and took a few shots. When I opened it on the camera it was a little eh, so I fooled with the contrast a bit and it made the lights pop. A little bit of cropping and you gets this pic.

I feel like I should be writing more, but I am not coming up with anything. To be honest I didn’t feel like writing any of this, but I am tired of the hate mail…I mean really it has only been two days. I had other shit to do and after I was done doing that stuff I didn’t really feel up to writing. Besides I didn’t have any pictures to post anyway…

Oh, I learned this week that three of my pictures are going to be used on the cover of some publications. They are just local real estate guides (not local to here), and I am not getting paid, but it is cool to be “published”.

Tell me this guy doesn’t look like he has some street cred…
