I sat down tonight to try another B&W conversion with the new technique, so I grabbed this picture and converted. But no matter what I did I could not make the B&W look as good as the color version. I guess that means that colors are what make this photo interesting.
Another interesting thing about this picture is that I used natural lighting. I don’t get to do that very often in the “studio” since most of my studio time is in the evening.
Oh yeah…I think this is a pretty decent “still life”.
I’m really enjoying your still life photos. Have you ever looked at the Orlando Camera Club’s Smugmug account? (http://orlandocameraclub.smugmug.com/) I think the comments on the monthly contest entries are interesting and helpful.
