It was not so long ago when I would have turned my nose up at beans and rice. In general I am not a big fan of beans. I like green beans, but only when cooked with a lot of bacon. Baked beans…pork fat. So for me the key to good beans is pork. At some point I learned about chorizo. Chorizo plus a can of black beans and some lime juice…oh man I could never have imagined beans this good.
I was moving some pictures around this weekend and came across this shot from San Francisco that I thought needed another look…plus I have nothing new to post.
The truth is sunsets are just easy…I am just lucky that I had the tripod in the truck when I stumbled upon this one.
So we have this citrus tree that we bought at Lowes a few months ago. It is one of those grafted kind with like 6 different types of citri (citruses?)…anyway much to my surprise the fucking thing it full of fruits. The problem is there is no easy fucking way to tell what is a lime and what is an unripe orange. So we go out there and we say I think this is a keylime and try to smell it. As far as I know we have been lucky so far and had a few limes and a handful of keylimes. I think the one in this picture might actually be a baby orange…or it could be a grapefruit. Who the fuck knows really…
Last night when I was downtown at Lake Eola there was a guy who kept asking me for a handout. I told him over and over that I didn’t have anything for him, but he just kept bugging me. So I told him if he let me take some pics of him I would hook him up…
Man I really love the twilight sky…
I think this pic speaks for itself, so I am going to shut the fuck up…
I was walking along and noticed this sign seemed to be telling me “look here”, I thought it might make for an interesting pic.
What do you think?
For the first time in a while there was no rain this evening, so I went out to see about getting some pictures. There is a little pond in a near by neighborhood that I wanted to check out. Turns out the surrounding trees blocked most of the interesting light, but there was a big white cloud overhead that was reflecting some light back onto the water. Reflecting it in just the right way to get a little bit of light on this guy…
