To all the truckers out there, thank you for smoking. You put your life on the line, because the government will not allow you to quit.

Apparently, Chantix, is bad for drivers.

What a crock, right? Just because Chantix causes depression, makes people want to commit suicide (which is painless), makes people overly aggressive, and just because the drug might cause a little bit of psychosis, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in the hands of people that are hauling several tons of steel death down the highway.

In fact, pilots should be able to use Chantix as well. Nothing like a depressed suicidal psycho flying a 777 to get your day started.

If the choice is between a pilot dying of lung cancer and a pilot dying because he was angry, psychotic, and suicidal… well the choice is obvious in the eyes of the government. The government choose emphysema.

Then again, if the only two choices are death and death, you can call on someone to help. Call someone that has quit smoking. Cold turkey. If you need help… email me at mickey@somacow.com.
